Automation Engineer – TypeScript & Playwright

Job Description:

The Automation Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using TypeScript and Playwright. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop automated test scripts using TypeScript and Playwright
• Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data
• Execute automated test scripts and analyze results to identify defects and ensure software quality
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline
• Identify opportunities for test automation and implement best practices to improve test coverage and efficiency
• Debug and troubleshoot issues related to automation scripts and provide timely resolutions
• Document and report test results, offering clear and actionable feedback to the development team
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in automation testing

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Proven experience as an Automation Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Playwright
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes
• Solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; effective team player

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
