Jr. Software Tester

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Tester with 2 years of hands-on experience in manual testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications through effective test planning, execution, and defect tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and understand project requirements, technical specifications, and functional documents
• Design, maintain, and execute comprehensive test cases and test scenarios
• Perform various types of testing including Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, and UI testing
• Identify, log, and manage defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Provide detailed test reports and contribute to improving product quality
• Ensure that all deliverables meet business and quality standards
• Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2 years of experience in software testing with a strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
• Proficient in creating and executing test cases and scenarios
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.
• Good documentation and reporting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing
• Exposure to test management tools and automation concepts
