Sr. Functional Testing Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Functional Testing Engineer to develop and implement end-to-end testing strategies, ensuring high-quality software solutions. The role involves analyzing requirements, executing test plans, verifying API/UI integrations, and troubleshooting issues. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in API testing, test execution, and database validation while working in Agile environments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement end-to-end testing strategies using quality processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Translate requirements for products, systems, and software into test specifications.
• Create, implement, and execute test plans.
• Monitor and manage test results, ensuring testing objectives are met.
• Review requirements in user stories, client flows, and Visio diagrams for planning test scenarios.
• Conduct test execution for RESTful services and APIs.
• Construct and modify API requests for expected output validation.
• Run database queries to retrieve data for JSON/XML mapping verification.
• Analyze test results for API/UI integration, errors, and data integrity.
• Report defects and assist in troubleshooting with developers and the functional team.
• Document test cases, test results, and validation data in JIRA.
• Review test cases and test evidence with the functional team and incorporate feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze system requirements and identify areas for improvement.
• Support application development and configuration to ensure optimal functionality.
• Provide testing support, including creating and identifying test cases.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in API Testing, Test Execution & Management, and Database Testing.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium.
• Proficiency in Java for test development and execution.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
