Experience:
- 5 – 8 years
Responsibilities:
- Understand and/or review requirements and specifications
- Analyze the requirements, specifications and all other product and process information to identify test scenarios
- Design test cases for given test level and objective, with demonstrable coverage
- Setup environment and configure SUT and interfacing systems
- Execute tests efficiently
- Adherence to quality procedures and compliance in all the activities.
- Maintain work status and proactively report status and risks and mitigations.
- Collaborate with relevant technical stakeholders across all activities for effective and efficient delivery
- Maintain the test environment and test suites
Core Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills ( ability to gather relevant details , analysis and conclusions; include ability to question)
- Strong experience of Test design ( systematic and methodical) with demonstrable coverage.
- Ability to design for specific level of testing with clarity on purpose, objective, Inputs, scenarios and coverage and type of defects for different types/levels of testing. ( ex: Functional, System, System Integration, Localization, Compatibility etc.)
- Efficient Test execution ( includes Env Setup, configuration and maintenance)
- Good understanding of testing concepts with practical relevance and clarity.
- Strong knowledge and experience of applying formal test design techniques/models/methods will be a plus. ( Combinatorial methods, decision tables and state models etc.)
- General passion for tools and technology ( for day-to-day activity efficiency, ex: strong knowledge of excel for Test data handling and preparation; good knowledge of windows commands for environment setup troubleshooting; using hypervisor for VMs etc. ) will be a plus.
